Cassina celebrates the 60th anniversary of the iconic Superleggera chair with new versions and finishes

The architect Gio Ponti considered the Supperleggera chair one of his three masterpieces, together with the Pirelli Tower in Milan and the Concattedrale Gran Madre di Dio de Taranto ... There is nothing! The chair, which represents a symbol of perfection and balance between solidity and lightness, with a triangular section of 18 mm and a minimum weight of 1.7 kg, turns 60 now As seductive as the first day.

Maybe some of you didn't know that its creator pioneered merge architecture and industrial design and responsible for making Italy the world capital of design in the postwar years and his work continues today of rabid today. So much that Cassina has decided to celebrate this sixty anniversary with new models.

Together with the classic model, in natural color or dyed in black or ash white, the versions of Cassina's productions of the 50s are now available with padded seats in different leathers and removable fabrics so that they can be combined with all the furniture and styles of today's environments.

Its special versions and combinations are almost endless like the black and white chair or the limited edition carried out by the Dutch artist Bertjan Pot with a fun colorful pattern to commemorate this 60th anniversary of the Superleggera.
