This desk was a car and the transformation is amazing

The creativity of some people who manage to transform things to give them a totally unexpected turn has always seemed fascinating. Restoration projects can be surprising but they are even more so for me when we go beyond the restoration and enter new ways. When the death of an object allows the birth of another is a way to pay tribute to what we like most.

Today I share this Awesome and fabulous transformation of an old American pick-up car on a desk With a vintage look out of series. At first glance it would not occur to me that an old car, almost in ruins and abandoned, was the basis for creating a desk. That was without the ingenuity of a car restorer who preferred to radically change the future of an old Ford pick-up.

The Bleu Sky Performance and Restauration company, of which he owns Jesse Barratt, he spends most of his time restoring old American cars. This was before embarking on this crazy project to create a completely different and personalized desk table. For this, it is essential to clarify that the cost of the restoration of the Ford Pick-up was approaching one hundred thousand euros by the advanced state of decomposition of the same. Purists and car fans can be calm, no vintage car was condemned to make a table.

As I said, the restorer Jesse He cut the car into parts to preserve only the front part with which I create the main structure of the table desktop. After performing metal cleaning and repair work, the moment of customization began.

To preserve the soul of the original car to the fullest, he decided to replace the headlights, the chromatic elements and a definitely vintage painting. To create a flat surface placed a thick glass coating that gives elegance and a modern touch to the whole. Without doubt an interesting project that we would like to see much more.
