Adding the best in image to Alexa's options, Amazon Echo Show reaches Spanish homes

Amazon has announced this week that the Echo Show arrives in Spain. The Echo Show is the first Alexa device in Spain that integrates a 10-inch HD screen that offers crisp and bright images, as well as an integrated Digital Home controller and a high quality speaker system that provides powerful bass and stereo sound.

The colorful and vibrant 10-inch HD screen of the Echo Show is designed to provide information at a glance from anywhere in the room. We can use the Echo Show to organize at home: You have, for example, a kitchen timer to look at the countdown, easily review and manage the family calendar, or see our list of tasks to do and buy among other things.

The screen is complemented by two 2-inch neodymium engines, a passive radiator and Dolby processing to offer an expansive stereo sound With powerful bass and sharp treble, perfect for listening to our favorite music. The Echo Show also has a new matrix of 8 microphones integrated in the upper part of the device, which is combined with Amazon's beam formation and noise cancellation technologies so that the Echo Show can hear us from any direction.

The high quality design of the Echo Show hardware makes it perfect for enjoying the entertainment. It allows watch movies and television shows: we simply have to say "Alexa, put The Grand Tour" to watch Prime Video or "Alexa, put my last minute News Summary" to catch up on the news from RTVE, El País or Diario AS with the coffee from the tomorrow…

Cooking with Alexa makes the new Echo Show is even more useful in the kitchen. We simply have to ask Alexa how to prepare a certain dish or ask for a recipe with a specific ingredient, for example "Alexa, give me a recipe for chocolate cake" or "Alexa, how do I make gazpacho?". Alexa will guide us step by step through the recipe chosen with images, without the need for us to touch the screen and, never better, catch us with “hands in the dough”.

The Echo Show also features a two-way conversation feature that works with Ring bell cameras. When the doorbell is called or your security camera detects movement, we will simply say "Alexa, answer the front door" to see and talk to whoever is on the other side without having to open the door.

The new Echo Show has an integrated 5 MP camera with which it is possible to perform high definition video calls and that is ideal for hands-free calls with friends and family who have an Echo Spot, Echo Show or the Alexa app. Soon, customers will be able to connect with more friends and family around the world thanks to compatibility with Skype voice calls and video calls.

With the Echo Show it's very easy be aware of weekly purchases. Simply saying "Alexa, order coffee again" will help us order our favorite mix. If we need to make a list, we'll just say "Alexa, add bananas to my list." And, if we have an important order on the way, Alexa will let us know when it arrives.

Alexa, the brain behind the Echo Show, is housed in the Cloud, so it becomes increasingly intelligent. The more we use the Echo Show, the more it will adapt to our conversation patterns, vocabulary and personal preferences. Alexa automatically connects through the Cloud and learns continuously, adding new features and Skills. Customers using the Echo Show will be able to access hundreds of Alexa Skills, such as El País, Sensacine, Diario AS, Renfe, Iberia, Mitele Momentazos de Mediaset and more, all optimized for the screen.

The Echo Show costs € 229.99 and will have additional support that will allow us to tilt the device to adjust the viewing and camera angles for € 29.99. Both are currently available for pre-order orders and will begin shipping to Amazon customers on February 27.
