We often stubbornly with materialism, spending money on things that could be better, more original and unique, if we made them ourselves, like these lovely paper frames in which our photos will look beautifully.
Making our own paper frames is really simple, all the necessary materials are easy to get, and very cheap:
- Decorative papers (paper bag type, textured, card stock ...), scrap papers, heat, scissors, pencils and markers, double-sided adhesive and beautiful photos, of course.
The first thing is create templates. For this we use folios that we will no longer use, such as invoices, commercial mail, etc. and cut the desired figures. The trick to make it as good as possible is to fold the paper in half twice, so that it is a quarter of its size. On that fold, we cut what would be a quarter of the frame, we deploy and we already have the full frame.
Now, we paste these templates into the beautiful paper we have chosen, and we cut very carefully, taking advantage of the support offered by the calf. For straight frames, if we have a very bad pulse, we can help ourselves with a rule.
Once we have our templates, the crucial moment comes: decorate them. We can do it with geometric shapes, floral details or even random strokes. They do not need to be perfect, because sometimes the small failures give it a personal touch, but if you do not feel very safe, you can make an outline first with pencil, and then review what has already been done with a marker or permanent fine-tipped pen, preferably black.
If you are tired of working, you can finish your work, paste some photos from behind and place the frames on the wall using double-sided adhesive. But if you are perfectionists, my recommendation is that you fund the framework, using the same template, but without cutting the hole inside. Then you stick it to the front of the frame, being careful to leave the upper side open to put the picture, and voila.
With these beautiful frames made by yourselves You can decorate the hall, a wall in the office or even the dressing area in the bedroom. If you don't feel like putting pictures of yourself, you can also frame pieces of slate - or paint the piece of wall framed with slate paint - and change the design inside the frame when you get tired of the previous one.
Taking advantage of the weekend, Surely you are encouraged to do them - I'm going to keep the idea for my new house - so if you do, don't stop commenting on what problems you have encountered.
