A ship decorated by Isabel Farré

I continue with my obsession with summer and vacations and in these I find a Catalan decorator, who has been in the gap for more than 25 years, Isabel Farré. Surely a thousand times you will have seen his decorations, fresh and elegant without knowing that they were.

Isabel Farré is DORTHAN, located in the Barcelona neighborhood of Sarriá, has been decorating interiors throughout Spain for more than two decades. His style is warm. Comfortable environments with neutral colors Splattered with small doses of color.

A such a small space As a boat it is always a challenge for any decorator. The claustrophobia of being for so long in a minimum space cannot be increased with a overwhelming interior design or overloaded. Hence, this boat has the minimum necessary for a comfortable stay in a pleasant environment.

The classic nautical colors such as blue are replaced by more vivid ones, such as Red in the case of the dining room and cabins or in the case of the "bathtub" by the chocolate brown, in the same range of the ground and the bar that is located behind but much darker.

The outdoor dining room takes advantage of the bench on one side and has four armchairs on the other side of a bright brown table, matching the outside bar with its stainless steel sinks and white stools, as is the rest of the boat seats. While the interior dining room, also with the binomial of neutral colors with small details with color such as the centers of red roses or lithographs of Joan Miro Hanging from the wall, opt for a rounded-edge table with wide white chairs on both sides of the table.

A nautical decoration timelessl and very elegant of Isabel Farré for a small space Do you like it?

Rough walls and custom furniture to take advantage of all the spaces in a charming little house in South Carolina

That is, a small house that is part of a main house, and that was used for cooking and serving the main house. The house has been acquired a couple (father and son) who reformed it to become a two-story house, with the help of the American design studio Workstead.

Open doors: a small apartment that dares with red

I love teaching small houses because they are the ones that most closely resemble the houses we have in Spain (and in many cities around the world). In these apartments we can find bold ideas that we can apply to our day to day and that we would not have chosen if we had not previously seen them. In this case, what most attracts my attention is the use of the intense red color for decoration, a color that would not traditionally be associated with the painting of the wall of a small space.

Celebrity houses: Hilary Duff

The last time I've seen Hilary Duff has been as a guest artist in Gossip Girl, a series that has me crazy and that I like very much. Before that, and although in Spain her name does not sound much, she has starred in several films and a series for the Disney Channel, in which she already demonstrated her acting skills since childhood.
