Fun and functional news in the A2 collection of 2012

They are not really exactly news because they were already presented in February at the Stockholm Furniture Fair, but until today in Decoesfera we had not talked about them and it is possible that some of you have not yet seen them. The Swedish furniture firm A2 is dedicated to the design of furniture of all kinds, but mainly seats and storage furniture, the style of its proposals is one of my favorites.

In this year 2012 they have added several pieces to their furniture collection, it is about adding because those of other years are still valid and they do nothing but complete a wide offer to furnish the living room and dining room. Among the new furniture we find a couple of seats and several storage furniture some large and other smaller auxiliaries.

Among the products that I have selected to comment, because the collection includes many more, are these waitress cars named Move, I love them. The waitress car has always seemed very practical, but I could hardly have one in my house, because normally the style of the ones I see in the market does not correspond to my own.

However A2 has managed to give the waitress a completely renewed air so that it can be incorporated without problems in houses with styles different from the classic. The triangular shape makes it look totally different, the wheels allow you to fully maintain its functionality and the colors to choose brown, green and white, make us find a car for each style.

We also met Happy stools, these are not as original as the waitresses, they are stools with round surface and their typical three legs, but it should be noted that they are available in several heights so that they can be adapted to the use we want to give them and that they are stackable, to They take up little space if we use them as seats for the elderly.

At home there are on the one hand the seats we use daily and on the other, the extra ones that we like to have for when guests come. These stools can be inside any of the two groups, but as they take up little space and as can be used as side tables thus hiding their presence, they are perfect to be part of this second occasional seating group.

Finally we mention one of the storage proposals, Display, again a classic reinvented just as it happened with the waitress cars from before. These are classic showcases of dining room or living room adapted in design to the times that run. I am a fan of the showcases, they allow to show the content but without what is inside it becomes dirty as if there is no door.

As I said, this year in the A2 collection have also included other pieces, other lower stools with padded cushion and more storage furniture with opaque doors, for the TV and in sideboard or console style. All the pieces can be chosen in color, in white or in natural wood and the design is always simple and easy to fit in a modern environment.

The house we are going to see today is a work of Sophie von Bülow who had to start from scratch the renovation of two small apartments in the Berlin district of Prenzlauerberg, which had not been touched since World War II. The first thing was to throw walls and turn the two apartments into one more spacious.

A modern and sustainable house in Surrey

Behind every house, every work, there is a story. A story full of dreams, of desires ... as the case of this house that we bring you today. Tony and Nicky Maude wanted a custom-made house. And for this, they found a farm in the leafy Surrey, in the southeast of England. Even before obtaining the permits to build, this couple already knew that in this space surrounded by tall trees they would raise the house of their dreams.
