There is nothing more summery than a striped textile. We have them on the canvases of the sunbeds in blue and white tones, on the awnings (proper) in bottle green and white, in countless tablecloths in very bright reds and blues or yellow on pillows, sofas, or "cookies" of the chairs
The stripes, traditionally wide and always combined with white, they are the ones chosen to give color to a season where it is hot and another type of print can be too motley. The decoration in summer has to be fresh, simple, without complications…
Parasols to match the hammocks or sunbeds are very vintage, yes, vintage from the 20s of the last century. If we think of a snapshot of any Spanish beach, in our imagination we will see awnings and sun loungers with the inevitable navy or sailor style based on blue stripes.
In wood, raffia, rattan, plastic, pexiglas, metallic, different styles, materials, designs and prices but a common denominator, the stripes.
Later the greens and the red ones were introduced and especially the yellow.Columpios with its awning and striped mat, easy to combine with white or even with yellow and white pillows. If at first the stripes were always symmetrical and wide, the variety is now huge: thin, wide, more together, more separated, different colors, but always stripes.
